OK, you know the deal by now... I hope. Every Tuesday, us dorks, um I mean blog freaks, um I mean, literary geniuses participate in Random Tuesday Thoughts. You can link up over at The Un Mom.
I seriously thought inhaling your food was a habit most people pick up with the onset of Motherhood. You know... trying to eat your dinner while it's still warm and before the baby starts crying. I developed this habit when my oldest was a baby. She had a knack for screaming as soon as dinner hit the table. But DQ inhales her food, as though preventing World War 3 depends on it. This worries me.
Joint compound is great stuff. I am not the only one who thinks so. Besides the traditional applications, and faux decorative applications, it makes a great baby sitter while you mud your wall. Just ignore the mess around Itty Bit. I am remodeling my kitchen remember?

Speaking of mudding walls... Now I remember why I don't work construction anymore. I used to be the only girl on a rowdy construction crew. Yeah I have had a lot of interesting jobs, but that's another post. I quit the construction job when I almost fell backwards off the front of a house, while hanging a second story window. It was good money, but it occurs to me that construction work sucks. This is no fun, and I can't wait to be done!!! I am half tempted to roll the wet mud with a paint roller, so it doesn't have to be sanded. I could call it textured.
On the upside, my kitchen looks a whole lot bigger with nothing in it, and all the appliances moved. We are redoing the whole kitchen, moving cabinets and appliances. (NOTE TO SELF: find someone to run a 220 outlet to new stove wall.) After I get my pretty Mocha Mist on the walls, and everything put back it should look great.
Well that is about all the randomness I have in me today. I am consumed with this kitchen, and can't really think about anything else. I'll catch up with you guys later. Back to mudding the walls. sigh
Just stopping by from SITS and wanted to sau hello! I hope you have a great Tuesday!@
ReplyDeleteI love remodling project espec. kitchens, but I don't like to mud. My husband is much better at it than I am. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteUgh, remodelling is so damn stressful. I just call it 'retro'.
