Public Appearance

That's right folks, here is your opportunity to meet the one and only, fabulous Left Field Missy. OK, maybe not. But I will be at a public show on Sat. I know I have some local followers, so if your in the area, come say HI.

Yesterday I mentioned preparing for a show at a private school some 4 hours away. Even though I have not had luck at any show in the past, I was very excited about this show. And after an entire Summer of sewing my little heart out, it got canceled. BOOO.

So then I was left frantically trying to figure out what I was going to do with all this stuff. Yeah I have some of it listed in my Etsy shop. But these are the kind of items that will sell better if you hold it and see the quality and details.

There is a show here locally, that has done very well. It's established. People look forward to it. There is a 2 year waiting list to get in as a vendor...
BUT, I took a chance anyway, and emailed to coordinator. Explained my situation, and apologized for it being so late, and asked if there were any spots open. What luck, there was a spot for me.

At that moment, I realized I had 1 week to get ready. Where the other show was going to be in Nov.

I had to package and tag everything. Which wasn't such a big deal. I am pretty organized. But my problem now is coming up with a display. On short notice. I'm sure I will get it worked out. And I am grateful to be in this show. But man I am frazzled.

OK, time for me to get back to it. I will catch up with you all, probably next week.

Random Tuesday, Loosing My Mind

I feel like I have so much to tell you guys, by my brain is fried. I am so busy right now, I can't even see straight. Sounds like a good time to do Random Tuesday. GO check out the Un-Mom to get in on the fun.

First off, I am still mailing packages from my giveaway... So my advice to you is... NEVER do a giveaway for more than 1 item at a time. And Never ever giveaway 8!!! I don't know what I was thinking. Trying to get everyone's address, then figure out what they won, and what the hell goes where. I must be insane. But I have it all worked out now. The last of the packages should go out today.

I got an award over the weekend. Ladytruth saw fit to bestow upon me this lovely thing...



Thanks girl, I always wanted one of these. But I can't pass it on, at least not right now, because, as previously mentioned, I can't think straight.

When it rains it pours...
I spent the summer sewing in preparation for a MAJOR show in a very ritzy private school... only to learn last week that it had been canceled. So I was stuck holding TONS of stuff. I did manage to find a show to attend locally. It's next weekend. Now I am running around like a crazy person trying to get ready on totally short notice.
PLUS... I got 3 local orders over the weekend. Big ones. Like 8 stockings, 5 quilts, 4 table runners, and 4 sets of placemats. I go all year long without a wink or a nod, then WHAM, it all comes in at once.

And my funny for the week, I am still giggling about this one...

The other night, I was walking back down the hall into the kitchen. I see Sexy Papa standing in the doorway to our bedroom. He had been sleeping, so I asked "What are you doing, babe?" "Nothing" he says. Then he turns to go into the room. Out of the corner of my eye, I see that he is holding something. "What do ya got there?" I ask. He holds it up to look at it himself... A pair of tongs... dirty... that he got from the kitchen sink. HUH? "What do you need those for?" I ask. He mumbles and then sets them on the buffet.
I am left standing in the middle of the kitchen, literally laughing my ass off. The next day, he had no memory of doing it. I think I am going to have to keep a better eye on that boy.

F.F. My Favorite Vampire

For all you newbies, F.F. stands for Foxy Friday. I haven't done one of these in a while... Been busy, sorry.

My very first Foxy Friday was the one and only Alex O'loughlin. He played the smokin' hot vampire on Moonlight, which got canceled. BOO. Well good news ladies, he is staring in a new medical drama this fall. So in honor of that I thought we could revisit good ole' Alex.
